513 Poor Households in Madiun Regency Receive Free Electricity Installation Aid
Madiun - As many as 513 family heads (KK) classified as poor households in Madiun Regency, East Java, have received free electricity installation assistance through the New Electricity Installation Assistance (BPBL) programme from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.
Chair of the Dharma Wanita of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Sri Suparni Bahlil, in Madiun on Thursday, stated that the BPBL programme from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources is part of the government’s efforts to increase electricity access throughout Indonesia.
“The target is poor citizens who do not yet have electricity access or poor households that have so far been tapping from neighbours to enjoy electricity. We have data that there are still residents in Madiun Regency who have not received electricity access,” said Suparni Bahlil during the handover of free electricity installation assistance in Pacinan Village, Balerejo Subdistrict, Madiun Regency.
Madiun Regent Hari Wuryanto welcomed the free electricity assistance targeting poor residents in his area.
“Thank you to the government for the free electricity connection assistance in Madiun Regency. This programme is certainly very beneficial for the target residents who have not had electricity access so far,” said Hari Wuryanto.
During their visit to Madiun Regency, Chair of the Dharma Wanita of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Sri Suparni Bahlil and her entourage also handed over school equipment packages to several primary schools in the Balerejo area, the distribution of gemarikan packages and prayer equipment in primary schools in Pilangkenceng Subdistrict. Furthermore, the entourage also provided street lighting assistance in Balerejo and Pilangkenceng.
