51 killed on Cikampek tollroad

PURWAKARTA, West Java: Over the past ten months, a total of 51
people have been killed and 49 others seriously injured in 38
traffic accidents on the Cikampek tollroad.

According to Purwakarta Police data, most accidents were
caused by human error, including tiredness.

A source at the police station also said that poor lighting
along the tollroad and damage to several parts of the highway had
contributed to accidents.

"Half of the tollroad has no lighting," the source said.
