Jakarta — Approximately 500 personnel from the Civil Protection Unit (Satlinmas) representing 65 villages across South Jakarta attended a readiness briefing to secure the Eid al-Fitr holiday for the year 1447 Hijriah.

“We recognise that during the Eid al-Fitr holiday, public mobility and activity increase,” stated Satriadi Gunawan, Head of Jakarta’s Civil Police Unit (Satpol PP), on Friday in Jakarta.

For this reason, Satlinmas readiness is essential to help maintain security and order within their respective communities.

Satriadi emphasised that the Satlinmas holds an important role as the frontline force within community environments in maintaining security and order, particularly during extended holiday periods and major religious celebrations such as Eid al-Fitr.

He therefore called upon all Satlinmas members to continue enhancing vigilance and strengthen coordination with local authorities, including village officials, neighbourhood leaders and the community at large.

“I hope that through this briefing, all Satlinmas members are increasingly prepared mentally, physically and in terms of coordination to support the smooth and secure implementation of the Eid al-Fitr celebration,” he said.

Meanwhile, Nanto Dwi Subekti, Head of the South Jakarta Civil Police Unit, added that the briefing was attended by approximately 500 Satlinmas members from 65 villages throughout South Jakarta.

He expressed his hope that Satlinmas members can play an active role in assisting other security personnel in maintaining a safe and conducive situation across the region during the Eid holiday period.

“Hopefully, with our collective unity, South Jakarta will become increasingly safe and conducive,” he said.
