PT Asuransi Kredit Indonesia (Askrindo) has dispatched approximately 500 participants in the 2026 BUMN Free Homecoming Programme ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah. The programme, themed ‘Safe Homecoming, Sharing Hope’, forms part of the state-owned enterprises’ Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) initiatives to assist the public in returning to their hometowns safely and comfortably.

The departure of participants took place on 17–18 March 2026 at the Gelora Bung Karno area in Jakarta. Askrindo provided 10 bus units serving 13 routes to various destination cities.

Askrindo’s Director of Compliance, Human Resources, and Risk Management, Mahelan Prabantarikso, stated that Askrindo’s participation in this programme reflects the company’s care for the community, particularly during the Lebaran homecoming period.

‘The BUMN Free Homecoming Programme is our contribution to helping the public return to their hometowns more easily, safely, and comfortably. Homecoming is not just a journey, but also a meaningful moment of togetherness with family,’ said Mahelan.

In addition to providing transportation, Askrindo also offers insurance protection for all participants during the journey. Askrindo’s Director of Finance and Acting Director of Technical Affairs, Leonardo Henry Gavaza, emphasised that safety is the top priority.

‘Each participant receives Personal Accident Insurance coverage during the homecoming journey. This is our commitment to providing peace of mind so that participants can travel more calmly until they reach their destination,’ said Leonardo.

He added that the programme also serves as a means to increase public literacy on the importance of insurance as personal protection.

To enhance comfort, Askrindo introduced the Smart Vehicle facility aimed at the children of participants. This facility provides educational and interactive activities while waiting for departure.

Overall, Indonesia Financial Group (IFG) along with Askrindo dispatched around 2,150 participants using 45 bus units to various regions, such as Cirebon, Tasikmalaya, Tegal, up to Surabaya and Palembang.

Through this programme, Askrindo hopes to support the smooth flow of Lebaran homecoming traffic, while also helping to reduce traffic congestion and lower accident rates.
