50,000 Maxim Drivers Receive Eid Bonus
Jakarta – Online transportation platform Maxim has distributed Eid bonuses (BHR) to over 50,000 driver partners, in accordance with a government mandate from the Ministry of Coordination of Economic Affairs and the Ministry of Manpower to provide incentives to online motorcycle taxi drivers.
Dirhamsyah, Development Director of Maxim Indonesia, stated that the distribution of the Eid bonus represents appreciation for the contribution and dedication of driver partners in supporting the app-based transportation service. Several driver partners who joined since 2019 attended the presentation ceremony at Maxim’s headquarters in Jakarta.
He acknowledged that in the first year, the company was unable to fully distribute the bonus due to a sudden announcement by the regulator, with Maxim only distributing to 1,000 drivers at that time.
“This is the second year Maxim is providing the Eid bonus to our partners. This year we are making every effort to expand the coverage of partners receiving the bonus,” said Dirhamsyah.
Muhammad Rafi Assegaf, Government Relations Specialist at Maxim Indonesia, explained that the distribution of bonuses is determined based on productivity levels within the application, quality of service provided to users, and compliance with company regulations. This approach is applied individually, taking into account each driver’s performance and activity levels, allowing the distribution process to be objective and well-targeted.
“These three factors are based on productivity and the distribution of orders completed in the last 12 months. This is the key factor in determining eligible driver partners,” explained Rafi.
Rafi added that the timing of the bonus distribution follows the guidelines set by the Ministry of Manpower, with bonuses to be distributed no later than seven days before Eid. Distribution began in stages on Tuesday, 10 March 2026.
Dirhamsyah expressed hope that the financial support would help improve the wellbeing of driver partners and strengthen the positive relationship established thus far. The number of bonus recipients this year has increased significantly alongside the company’s expansion across various regions of Indonesia.
Maxim has expanded its operational network by opening new branches, now reaching over 350 branches in more than 100 cities in recent months. This expansion has also been accompanied by an increase in the number of active drivers joining the company’s service ecosystem.
