50,000 Internship Vacancies with Minimum Wage Stipends Reopened: Schedule and Registration Link Provided
The government has reopened registration for the National Internship Programme, known as MagangHub Batch 2, Second Intake of 2026. This programme provides a quota of 50,000 participants, with a monthly allowance equivalent to the provincial minimum wage (UMP).
Registration is open from 3 to 8 September 2026. Following this, the selection process will take place between 9 and 15 September 2026, with the results to be announced on 18 September 2026. Successful participants are scheduled to begin their internship programme on 21 September 2026.
The Minister of Manpower, Yassierli, stated that the opening of Batch 2, Second Intake, is part of the government’s target to provide 150,000 participants for the National Internship Programme throughout 2026. A quota of 50,000 participants has been set for each intake.
“We have prepared this programme so that internship opportunities can be widely accessed by job seekers, while simultaneously providing work experience that is relevant to the needs of the business world, industry, and government agencies,” Yassierli said in a statement, as reported on Friday (4/9/2026).
Yassierli emphasised that the programme is not merely pursuing participant numbers but is also ensuring the quality of the internship implementation. Participants are expected to gain work experience that aligns with the requirements of the labour market.
Consequently, the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) is ensuring that all stages of the internship are conducted transparently and orderly in accordance with regulations.
“We want the entire process to be open and accountable. Every stage must be carried out with administrative care to ensure the programme runs smoothly and provides benefits to the participants,” he said.
He noted that complete technical provisions are also necessary so that both organisers and participants have a clear reference throughout the programme.
Supervision of the programme’s implementation will also be conducted to ensure the internship process adheres to regulations and benefits the participants.
“Supervision will be strictly enforced. We want to ensure that the MagangHub programme truly provides benefits to participants, while operating accountably and in accordance with applicable regulations,” he added.
Yassierli hopes that this opportunity can be utilised by participants to gain work experience and enhance their skills before entering the workforce.
