The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Tangerang City has reported flooding conditions in Periuk District, Tangerang City. The most severe flooding occurred in Periuk Damai Housing, reaching 5.5 metres in depth.

Mahdiar, Head of BPBD Tangerang City, stated that according to BPBD Tangerang City data as of Monday, 9 March 2026 at 12:00 WIB, there are 22 flood points and inundation areas in the Periuk region. Flooding occurred across three urban villages: Kelurahan Periuk, Gembor, and Gebang Raya.

Flood levels in Periuk Damai Housing (RW 008) reached 5.5 metres, whilst Villa Mutiara Pluit (RW 011) reached 3 metres in depth. Total Persada Raya Housing (RW 008) also reached 3 metres in height.

“Several other areas such as Purati Housing and parts of Villa Tangerang Indah remain in inundation status with water depths between 20 centimetres and 55 centimetres,” he stated.

Meanwhile, more than 13,000 people are affected by the flooding. They comprise vulnerable groups, infants, children and adults.

“The total number of affected residents reached 13,718 people from 4,481 family heads (KK). Of this affected population, 625 are elderly, 5,796 are adults, 1,785 are teenagers and children, and 365 are infants,” he said.

A total of 6,842 people have been evacuated to various temporary shelters dispersed across community halls, mosques, health centres, and sports facilities.

“Several main evacuation shelters include the Sports Hall and SDN Total Persada Raya which are accommodating 1,440 evacuees. Meanwhile, Al-Mujahidin Mosque is accommodating 1,103 evacuees, whilst Al-Jihad Mosque is accommodating 860 evacuees,” he added.
