Jakarta (ANTARA) - A total of 5,158 jobseekers took part in the job fair “Jakarta Selatan Career Fest and Bazaar 2026”, organised by the South Jakarta Manpower, Transmigration and Energy Sub-department (Sudin Nakertransgi).

“Some 3,458 jobseekers registered through the online platform, whilst 1,700 attended in person on 7-8 July 2026 at the Nyi Ageng Serang Building, Karet Kuningan Subdistrict, Setiabudi District,” said Erning Kumala Dewi, Head of the Training, Placement, Productivity and Transmigration Section (P3T) at Sudin Nakertransgi South Jakarta, in Jakarta on Friday.

She explained that the recruitment process does not stop once the Career Fest has ended; all participating companies will immediately shortlist candidates who meet the requirements, from interview stages through to hiring.

“After jobseekers apply, companies will conduct interviews and continue the entire recruitment process. They will also be required to report to us in stages on the number of applicants accepted for employment,” said Erning.

Educational requirements were tailored to the needs of each company, ranging from senior secondary and vocational school graduates to bachelor’s degree (S1) holders.

Interestingly, she said, there was no age limit for applicants. A number of companies even opened opportunities for persons with disabilities.

“Each company has its own qualifications. Some accept senior secondary, vocational school, up to S1 graduates. However, there is no age restriction. In fact, there are companies that open opportunities for persons with disabilities,” said Erning.

She revealed that of the 1,700 jobseekers who attended the Career Fest in person, 947 participants were recorded as having checked in at the venue, whilst the remainder were estimated to have chosen to register through the online system.

Erning expressed hope that all participants who have submitted applications and received interview invitations would make the most of the opportunity.

“For those who have already sent in their CVs and received interview calls, do your best so you can be accepted at your target company. We hope this event can help reduce the unemployment rate in South Jakarta,” said Erning.
