498 police officers inducted

LIDO, Bogor, West Java (JP): City Police Chief Maj. Gen. Hamami Nata inducted 498 graduates of the police school (Secaba) into the force on Friday.

Hundreds take the school's 11-month course every year to learn basic police skills to qualify as second sergeants.

Hamami told the officers to abide by rules and procedures in the line of duty.

He also said they should do their best for the people and to ensure their peace of mind.

Four officers were honored as the best of the class.

Rusadi was cited for the best overall performance, Ambar Suseno for intelligence, Yuropa Bayu Aji for physical endurance and Arif Indrawan for courage. (cst)
