48 Candidates for Wonosobo's 81st Flag-Raising Squad to Begin Training
KODIM 0707/Wonosobo, in collaboration with the National Unity and Politics Agency (Kesbangpol) of Wonosobo Regency, Central Java, conducted a readiness assessment and briefing for the 81st cohort of the local Heritage Flag Raising Troop (Paskibra) candidates on Tuesday (7/7). The activity was held to ensure all participants possess the necessary physical fitness, mental resilience, and high level of discipline before entering the intensive training period.
During his briefing, Pelda Beny Dwi S explained that the training, scheduled from 1 to 17 August 2026, requires full commitment from every participant. “You must start preparing yourselves physically and mentally with utmost seriousness from now on. This is not ordinary training. You will be drilled from morning until evening under the scorching sun. Therefore, follow the trainers’ instructions with discipline and full dedication. Do not be half-hearted, because only through serious training can you perform flawlessly when hoisting the Red and White flag,” he stated.
He noted that the success of a Paskibra team is heavily determined by discipline and adherence to every instruction from the trainers. Every movement, step, and posture must be executed with high precision, leaving no room for casualness or indifference during the training period.
Heri Saptoto from the Wonosobo Kesbangpol conveyed that the task of raising the flag at the 81st Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia ceremony is no simple matter. This year’s Paskibra team consists of 48 of the best students selected from various schools across Wonosobo Regency. “The flag-raising procession involves many factors, from team cohesiveness and physical endurance to concentration and strong mentality. All of this can only be achieved if you follow the trainers’ guidance earnestly during the training sessions,” he said.
Heri Saptoto also reminded the candidates that becoming a Paskibra member is a dream for many young people and a source of pride for parents. Beyond bringing honour to the region, participants will be equipped with discipline, leadership, teamwork skills, and nationalist values that will be highly beneficial in the future. “Make the most of this opportunity. Train earnestly, follow every instruction from the trainers without compromise. Show your best performance so that your parents, teachers, and trainers can be proud of your achievements,” he added.
With thorough preparation and a strong training spirit, the 81st cohort of the Wonosobo Paskibra is expected to deliver their best performance and become a source of pride for the people of Wonosobo during the upcoming Independence Day commemoration.
