PT Jasamarga Jalanlayang Cikampek (JJC) recorded 48,655 vehicles using the Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed (MBZ) flyover in both directions during the Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijriah holiday on Wednesday (27 May 2026).

“This represents a 10.89% increase compared to the normal traffic volume of 43,877 vehicles,” said Desti Anggraeni, General Manager of Operations and Maintenance at JJC, in Bekasi on Thursday.

She stated that vehicle volumes are expected to remain elevated throughout the extended holiday period. A total of 76,385 vehicles were recorded leaving Jakarta since the day before Eid al-Adha.

“Over the two days, traffic surged by 78.3% compared to the normal volume of 42,841 vehicles,” she added.

Daily traffic data showed a 32.46% increase from the normal volume of 21,787 vehicles, with 28,860 vehicles travelling from Jakarta towards Cikampek.

“These figures indicate continued high travel activity towards eastern Java during the extended holiday period,” she said.

Desti urged road users to prioritise safety by ensuring drivers and vehicles are in optimal condition, with sufficient power and fuel.

Drivers were also advised to strictly follow traffic signs and instructions from officials, particularly during rain-induced traffic management measures that affect visibility and road conditions.

For real-time toll traffic updates, users can contact the 24-hour hotline at 133 or via the TRAVOY app available on iOS and Android.

“Prioritise safety and comply with traffic signs and on-site instructions to ensure a safe and comfortable journey to your destination,” she added.
