476,000 Train Tickets for 2026 Lebaran Return Flow Already Booked
PT KAI Daop 1 Jakarta has recorded sales volume of long-distance train tickets on H-1, or one day before Eid al-Fitr 1447 H, reaching more than 50,000. Meanwhile, for the 2026 Lebaran return flow, the number of booked train tickets stands at 476,010.
Manager of Public Relations for PT KAI Daop 1 Jakarta, Franoto Wibowo, stated that this data is still dynamic and will continue to increase. “The data entered is based on already booked tickets,” he told Tempo on Friday, 20 March 2026.
The total sales for the return flow represent accumulated bookings from 22 March to 1 April 2026. The highest booking for the 2026 Lebaran homecoming return was for 24 March, with 50,387 tickets already sold. The lowest booking volume was on 1 April 2026, with 21,067 tickets.
PT KAI has also prepared several measures to ensure smooth mudik and return flow for Lebaran 2026. First, through digitalisation of services via the Access by KAI application. This service is equipped with a live tracking feature to monitor train journeys in real time, making it easier for pick-up personnel to estimate arrival times.
Second, ensuring ease through intermodal integration at major stations. “Such as at Pasar Senen Station, which is connected to the KRL Commuter Line, as well as further access like online motorcycles, taxis, and proximity to the terminal,” said Franoto.
Next, ensuring easy access at Gambir Station, with support for onward transport such as DAMRI, TransJakarta, taxis. And ensuring online motorcycle access that facilitates customer mobility to various destinations.
Up to H-1 of Lebaran 2026, KAI Daop I Jakarta reported a departure volume of 50,636 passengers at several stations. The highest from Pasar Senen Station with 18,802 passengers, followed by Gambir Station with 16,847 passengers, Bekasi Station 8,647 people. Then Cikampek Station 1,161 passengers, Cikarang Station 2,523 people, Jatinegara Station 1,692, and Karawang Station 964 passengers.
