471,000 Vehicles Cross Cikampek Main Toll Gate in Post-Eid Return Flow
JAKARTA - PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) recorded a significant surge in the return flow for Eid al-Fitr 1447H/2026 from the Eastern Trans-Java region towards Jakarta. A total of 471,099 vehicles passed through the Cikampek Main Toll Gate during the period from D-day to D+6 (21-27 March 2026). This figure represents an increase of 141.41% compared to normal traffic of 195,144 vehicles. This situation indicates that the return flow is still ongoing and distributed gradually. JTT Corporate Secretary & Legal Director Ria Marlinda Paallo stated that the total vehicles from the Eastern Trans-Java region from D-10 to D+6 reached 647,164 units. Ria added that data from the first shift on 28 March 2026 recorded 17,955 vehicles heading towards Jakarta. “This number rose 104.78% from normal traffic of 8,768 vehicles,” she said. To anticipate the surge, traffic engineering was implemented, starting from one-way local at KM 263 of the Pejagan-Pemalang Toll to KM 70 of the Cikampek Main Toll Gate. This scheme was continued with contraflow from KM 70 to KM 47 towards Jakarta. JTT also provided a 23% toll discount on the Batang-Semarang stretch until 31 March 2026 to distribute traffic. Meanwhile, vehicles heading to the Eastern Trans-Java region through the Cikampek Main Toll Gate were recorded at 260,935 units. This figure increased by 31.72% compared to normal traffic of 198,098 vehicles. Increases in traffic volume also occurred on several stretches in Central Java and East Java. JTT urged road users to ensure vehicle condition, sufficient fuel, and electronic money balance before travelling.
