46 injured in bus accident

SERANG, West Java: Forty six people were injured, several seriously, when a packed bus slipped into a ditch during a heavy rain here yesterday.

Liberty was on its way from the North Sumatra capital of Medan to the Central Java city of Solo (Surakarta) when the road accident happened at 10.30 a.m.

Eyewitnesses said the bus driver lost control of the bus due to the slippery road.

Among the victims were a three-month-old boy, who got a cut on his head,Antara reported. The bus was badly damaged. (pan)
