459,570 vehicles leave Jabotabek region 10 to 8 days before Eid al-Fitr
The figure represents cumulative traffic flow from four main toll gates: Cikampek Utama (towards Trans Java), Kalihurip Utama (towards Bandung), Cikupa (towards Merak), and Ciawi (towards Puncak), according to Rivan’s statement in Jakarta on Saturday.
The total number of vehicles leaving the Jabotabek region increased by 4.8 per cent compared to normal traffic flow, which averaged 438,342 vehicles.
Traffic distribution leaving Jabotabek towards three main directions showed that the majority—201,457 vehicles (43.8 per cent)—headed eastbound towards Trans Java and Bandung, whilst 158,053 vehicles (34.4 per cent) travelled westbound to Merak, and 100,060 vehicles (21.8 per cent) went southbound to Puncak.
Regarding eastbound traffic, 108,140 vehicles left Jabotabek towards Trans Java via the Cikampek Utama toll gate on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, representing a 24.2 per cent increase compared to normal traffic. Meanwhile, 93,317 vehicles travelled towards Bandung via the Kalihurip Utama toll gate on the Cipularang Toll Road, which was 2.7 per cent lower than normal traffic.
The combined total for both eastern routes was 201,457 vehicles, an increase of 10.1 per cent from normal traffic levels.
Westbound traffic towards Merak via the Cikupa toll gate on the Tangerang-Merak Toll Road totalled 158,053 vehicles, a 6.0 per cent increase compared to normal traffic.
Southbound traffic towards Puncak via the Ciawi toll gate on the Jagorawi Toll Road reached 100,060 vehicles, which was 5.9 per cent lower than normal traffic.
On 8 March (Friday, 13 March) marking 8 days before Eid al-Fitr 1447H (Ramadan 2026), the number of vehicles leaving Jabotabek through the four main toll gates reached 173,789 units, a 7.9 per cent increase compared to normal traffic flow of 161,064 vehicles.
