Bekasi (ANTARA) — PT Jasamarga Jalanlayang Cikampek (JJC) recorded 44,918 vehicles leaving Jakarta via the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed (MBZ) Elevated Toll Road during the H-3 period before Lunar New Year.

PT JJC Operations and Maintenance General Manager Desti Anggraeni said the vehicle volume represented an increase of 46.77 percent compared to normal traffic conditions of 30,604 vehicles. “Vehicle volume increases occurred throughout the day, with the highest surge at night reaching 52.76 percent,” Desti said in Bekasi, West Java, on Sunday.

The company also recorded the volume of vehicles traveling from the east toward Jakarta via the MBZ Elevated Toll Road during the same period at 31,655 vehicles, up 12.96 percent from normal traffic of 28,022 vehicles.

According to her, the increase in vehicle volume on H-3 of the Lunar New Year holiday signals the beginning of heightened travel activity ahead of the festive season. Overall, traffic conditions on the MBZ Elevated Toll Road remained smooth and under control, supported by periodic traffic monitoring and the readiness of operational personnel in the field.

PT JJC continues to urge road users traveling on the MBZ Elevated Toll Road to always prioritize safety in support of smooth and safe journeys. Road users are advised to ensure that both drivers and vehicles are in optimal condition, maintain sufficient electrical charge or fuel, and anticipate potential weather changes, particularly during rainy conditions.

“Stay vigilant so that your journey remains safe and comfortable all the way to your destination. Exercise caution when driving in rainy conditions as it can affect visibility and road surface conditions,” she said.
