445 Hajj Pilgrims Flown from Kertajati Airport, First for 2026 Hajj Season

A total of 445 prospective Hajj pilgrims (calhaj) from batch 1 of Embarkation Kertajati began their flight to the Holy Land from West Java International Airport (BIJB) Kertajati, Majalengka Regency, on Wednesday (22/4/2026). They are a group of calhaj from Indramayu Regency.

Based on observations, they were previously departed from the Indramayu Hajj Dormitory. Upon arrival at Kertajati Airport, the calhaj were no longer bothered with various administrative matters or checks.

Through the one-stop service system, all calhaj affairs were previously carried out at the Indramayu Hajj Dormitory quickly and integrated. Starting from health checks, distribution of identity bracelets, passports, living cost money, to Nusuk cards. The calhaj were then flown around 09:00 WIB.

One of the calhaj, Syaefudin, said that the calhaj received good service from the officers, from the Indramayu Hajj Dormitory to the airport. Moreover, 60 percent of the calhaj in batch 1 are a group with high risk (risti).

“I have also asked the pilgrims to take care of each other, they must be compact,” said the man who also serves as the Deputy Regent of Indramayu.

Syaefudin revealed that the total number of Hajj pilgrims from Indramayu Regency this year is also quite large, namely 2,722 people. He hopes that all pilgrims are in good health and granted smoothness in carrying out the entire series of Hajj worship in the Holy Land.
