444 Pilgrims from Subang Depart for Embarkation in Indramayu
A total of 444 prospective pilgrims from Subang departed from the Subang Hajj dormitory to the Indramayu Hajj dormitory on Saturday (16/5). The pilgrims from Subang, who are part of Kloter 34 Kertajati Majalengka, were accompanied by their families who shed tears and continuously recited prayers for their safe journey to perform the fifth pillar of Islam in Mecca.
The Acting Head of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah (Kemehaj) of Subang Regency, Rojak, stated that the pilgrimage is not just an ordinary trip but a spiritual journey that requires physical and mental preparedness.
Rozak reminded the importance of maintaining good health during the pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia, especially for elderly pilgrims and those with pre-existing conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, or gout.
Rozak requested the health team to conduct regular monitoring of the pilgrims’ condition so that they can perform all rituals optimally.
“I want all residents of Subang Regency who are going on Hajj to be able to perform their pilgrimage devoutly, with strong stamina, and sufficient rest,” said Rozak.
Rozak added that the number of pilgrims from Subang Regency in Kloter 34 KJT is 444 people, consisting of 187 male pilgrims and 251 female pilgrims.
“Kloter 34 is accompanied by 4 accompanying officers. The oldest pilgrim is Ana Taslim Adnan (83 years and 10 months) from Jabong Village, Pagaden District. Meanwhile, the youngest pilgrim is Dian Setyani Jayani (20 years and 10 months) from Mekarjaya Village, Compreng District,” he said.
As pilgrims in the second wave, Kloter 34 will go directly to Mecca to perform the obligatory Umrah pilgrimage.
“Before departing for Saudi Arabia, the pilgrims will be received at the Indramayu Hajj dormitory to rest and receive their rights, such as identity bracelets, living costs, and distribution of Nusuk cards,” he concluded. (H-2)
