43 Issuers to Offer Corporate Bonds in 2026, Prospects Remain Strong

PEFINDO Rating Director Hendro Utomo noted that the trend in demand for corporate bond ratings remains very strong amidst global financial market turmoil. As of June 2026, 43 companies have requested rating mandates for planned debt issuances worth more than IDR 50 trillion from various sectors. Corporate debt issuance plans are still dominated by conventional bonds, whilst Sharia-based instruments such as sukuk continue to increase, though they have yet to rival conventional bonds. Sectors actively issuing debt in 2026 include mining, energy, banking, financing, pulp and paper, and a new sector, clean water processing.
