PT. Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) has prepared 42 rest areas optimally to serve motorists along the Trans-Java Toll Road as part of its commitment to ensuring safe, comfortable, and smooth journeys. Vice President Corporate Secretary & Legal of PT JTT, Ria Marlinda Paallo, confirmed that the optimisation of rest area services includes various facilities to meet road users’ needs, such as parking areas, prayer rooms, toilets, food centres, petrol stations (SPBU), and electric vehicle charging points. “The presence of these facilities is part of our effort to deliver toll road services focused on safety and travel comfort,” she said in Bekasi on Sunday. She added that rest areas play a crucial role in supporting road safety, especially for long-distance travellers on the Trans-Java Toll Road corridor. According to evaluations, one factor contributing to disruptions or incidents on toll roads is drivers losing focus or experiencing reduced concentration while driving. Therefore, it is important for road users to know the locations and facilities of rest areas and utilise them for rest before continuing their journey. The company also ensures cleanliness is maintained, clean water is available, toilets function properly, parking is orderly, and security and cleaning staff are on standby to support road users’ comfort. Ria urged road users to plan rest stops in advance, use facility information via the Travoy app, and ensure both vehicle and driver conditions are optimal. “During periods of potential traffic volume increases, rest area operations can be adjusted situationally to maintain smooth traffic flow on the main lanes,” she said.
