418,000 ASDP users enjoy ferry crossing discounts
Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) has recorded 418,600 users taking advantage of ferry fare discount programmes up to the third week of the government stimulus implementation during the 2026 school holidays.
“Since the ferry fare discount stimulus programme opened, 418,600 service users have utilised the programme, reaching 34.69 per cent of the target of 1.2 million beneficiaries,” said ASDP President Director Heru Widodo in a statement in Jakarta on Friday.
With the programme period continuing until 5 July 2026, the public still has the opportunity to enjoy more economical ferry fares. As of 25 June 2026, the realised subsidy absorption was recorded at approximately Rp7 billion out of a total budget allocation of around Rp26 billion.
Heru stated that the high public interest indicates that the government stimulus programme provides tangible benefits, not only in supporting public mobility during the school holidays but also in driving economic circulation in various regions.
“We invite the public who are planning inter-island travel to purchase tickets promptly to secure their desired departure schedules while enjoying more affordable ferry fares,” said Heru.
The programme applies to trips with departure schedules from 20 June to 5 July 2026, while ticket bookings have been open since 6 June 2026.
The tariff stimulus is implemented across 14 ports serving seven strategic national routes, namely Merak–Bakauheni, Ketapang–Gilimanuk, Lembar–Padangbai, Kayangan–Poto Tano, Tanjung Uban–Telaga Punggur, Ajibata–Ambarita, and Sape–Labuan Bajo.
The programme is available for foot passengers as well as Group II and Group IVA vehicles, allowing more members of the public travelling between islands to benefit.
ASDP Corporate Secretary Windy Andale explained that as Indonesia’s busiest crossing route, Merak–Bakauhendi applies the discount programme to both Regular and Express services.
For the Regular service, foot passenger fares are approximately Rp18,100, Group II vehicles are Rp46,400, and Group IVA vehicles are Rp431,200.
Meanwhile, for the Express service, foot passenger fares are approximately Rp44,000, Group II vehicles are Rp83,616, and Group IVA vehicles are Rp550,937.
She urged the public to purchase tickets immediately through the Ferizy application or the official website trip.ferizy.com.
