Subang (ANTARA) - The managers of the Cikopo-Palimanan Toll Road recorded around 41,000 vehicles passing through the Cipali toll section over eight hours entering H-2 of Eid, or on Thursday morning.

Sustainability Management & Corporate Communications Department Head of Astra Tol Cipali, Ardam Rafif Trisilo, in his statement in Subang, West Java, on Thursday, conveyed that up to Thursday morning, the one-way traffic flow on the Cipali Toll Road was monitored as consistently busy and smooth, despite slowdowns at several points.

Based on data from the period 00:00 WIB to 08:00 WIB, around 41,000 vehicles had passed through the Cipali Toll Road from the former Cikopo Toll Gate towards Cirebon.

The number of vehicles passing increased by 1 percent compared to the same period the previous day, with an average volume of 5,200 vehicles per hour.

He stated that for the analysis of the causes of slowdowns at several points on the Cipali Toll Road on Thursday morning, after identification, the condition occurred due to an increase in the number of vehicles stopping on the roadside.

In response, Astra Tol Cipali officers along with the police continue to handle problematic vehicles in the field.

Officers also direct road users not to rest on the roadside, as it is highly risky for travel safety.

“We strongly advise road users to utilise the nearest toll gate as an alternative resting place if the rest area capacity is full,” he said.

Astra Tol Cipali guarantees that resting outside the toll road area will not incur additional charges, considering the closed transaction system on the Trans-Java Toll network calculates tariffs based on travel distance (accumulation per kilometre).

Astra Tol Cipali urges all road users to prepare their journeys thoroughly, ensure physical fitness, and the readiness of their vehicles in prime condition.
