40 years of Thai Airways over Indonesian skies

Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI), consistently voted one of the world's best airlines for almost 40 years, has enjoyed a reputation for excellent service and reliability.

Today, THAI is a global airline that serves more Asian countries than any other airline. Our punctuality, service, comfort and route network have won the trust of the flying public worldwide.

On Nov. 6, 1960, THAI inaugurated its first flight to Jakarta, and was the first international airline to promote flights to Denpasar, Bali, on Dec. 24, 1967.

Currently, THAI operates daily air services between Jakarta and Bangkok via Singapore with A330 new generation aircraft together with three times a week nonstop flights to Bangkok. Its Bali operation also comprises daily nonstop flights to Bangkok.

With a main office in Jakarta, THAI also has three marketing offices in Denpasar, Surabaya and Medan.

Locally, THAI currently employs more than 70 Indonesians and five expatriates, comprising a general manager Indonesia, a general manager Bali, an area accounting manager, a Jakarta station manager, a Bali station manager and a Jakarta chief engineer.

Apart from working with supportive Indonesian travel agents to develop new programs, THAI also offers a wide variety of programs designed to introduce visitors to the beauty of Thailand's culture, host conferences, reward employees, or simply make it more fun, through its Royal Orchid Holidays, to travel to Thailand and other countries.
