40 venues for KL SEA Games

JAKARTA (JP): The organizing committee of the Kuala Lumpur
Southeast Asian Games will use 40 venues to host the biennial
event from Sept. 8 to Sept. 17.

Bernama reported that the venues would be located in Penang,
Johor, Klang Valley and Negeri Sembilan.

Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Hishammuddin Tun Hussein
is scheduled to begin visiting these venues on Friday to ensure
that all the equipment and facilities meet the specified
standards.

"The visits will also look at which venues need renovation to
ensure that the work can be carried out as soon as possible,"
Bernama quoted the minister as saying. (yan)
