40 Km Traffic Jam on Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, Travel Time Up to 5 Hours

Severe traffic congestion occurred on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road from Wednesday morning (18/3/2026) until midday. Travel time along the 40-kilometre stretch can reach up to five hours. Normally, the journey on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road takes only about one hour. Sandro said he departed from Pasar Rebo heading to Ciwidey. The congestion began from kilometre 15 to around kilometre 55. Under normal conditions, the trip from Jakarta to Ciwidey usually takes about three hours. However, after five hours of travel, he had not yet exited the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road segment. Traffic engineering in the form of contraflow has been applied at several points, including at kilometre 36. “One more thing, I don’t know the contraflow entry point, but the contraflow is all towards Cipali,” said Sandro.
