The Alliance for Interfaith Harmony has written to the Head of Bareskrim Polri, Komjen Syahardiantono, rejecting the transfer of the report alleging hate speech by Grace Natalie and others to Polda Metro Jaya.

The letter from the 40 Islamic organisations was delivered directly on Monday (11/5) today. Gurun Arisastra, representing LBH Syarikat Islam/SEMMI, expressed concern that the case against Ade Armando and Permadi Arya alias Abu Janda would no longer be handled by Bareskrim Polri.

“We want this case to continue to be examined at Bareskrim Mabes Polri. We reject the transfer to Polda Metro Jaya. That is our concern,” he explained.

Gurun reasoned that the rejection arose after they received information about a similar report from another organisation that was eventually transferred to Polda Metro Jaya by Bareskrim Polri.

Therefore, he said his side took initial steps to ensure that the report they filed would not face the same situation. He even claimed to be ready to present witnesses for examination by Bareskrim Polri investigators.

“We are ready to coordinate with investigators to present witnesses, experts, and the reporters are also ready to be examined for further statements. That is what we conveyed, and this letter has been received,” he stated.

Gurun also urged Bareskrim Polri to process the case promptly. This is because there have been many public reports against the three individuals.

“This has become a national dimension or national situation, especially since this case concerns interfaith harmony and the potential of figures who could divide the nation,” he explained.

On the same occasion, Syamsul Qomar, Spokesperson for the Alliance of 40 Islamic Organisations from the KAHMI element, assessed that the report against the three respondents should be processed legally as soon as possible.

Because, he said, there has been no good faith or apology from the three respondents regarding the uploaded video lecture of the 10th and 12th Vice President of Indonesia, Jusuf Kalla.

“Until now, they do not feel guilty, let alone apologise; they do not even feel guilty and believe that what they have conveyed is the truth,” he said.

“Whereas Mr JK feels that his lecture of more than 30 minutes at UGM is part of efforts to convey various information about peace both in the world and in Indonesia,” he added.

Previously, 40 Islamic organisations under the Alliance for Interfaith Harmony officially reported Ade Armando, politician Grace Natalie, and Permadi Arya alias Abu Janda to Bareskrim Polri.

Gurun Arisastra, representing LBH Syarikat Islam/SEMMI, stated that the reporting was related to the polemic of a clipped video from the lecture of the 10th and 12th Vice President, Jusuf Kalla (JK).

The report was received and registered under number LP/B/185/V/2026/SPKT/Bareskrim Polri dated 4 May 2026.

“LBH Serikat Mahasiswa Muslimin Indonesia and LBH Syarikat Islam along with LBH Muhammadiyah, Hidayatullah, AFKN and other organisations have reported three figures: Ade Armando, then Permadi Arya, and also Grace Natalie,” he told reporters at Bareskrim Polri on Monday (4/5).
