40,523 vehicles depart Jakarta via MBZ toll road on H-6 Eid al-Fitr
Bekasi – PT Jasamarga Jalanlayang Cikampek (JCC) reported that 40,523 vehicles were monitored departing Jakarta via the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed (MBZ) Elevated Road section on H-6 Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijri, Sunday, 15 March.
“There was a surge in vehicle volume of 74.36 per cent compared to normal conditions of 23,241 vehicles on H-6 Eid al-Fitr in 2026,” said JCC Chief Executive Officer Hendri Taufik in Bekasi on Monday.
Meanwhile, in the opposite direction, 32,565 vehicles were recorded entering Jakarta via the MBZ Road section, a decrease of 2.19 per cent compared to normal daily traffic of 33,293 vehicles.
JCC also recorded that from H-10 to H-6 of Eid 2026, a total of 176,815 vehicles were monitored departing Jakarta through the MBZ Elevated Road section. This figure increased by 36.09 per cent compared to normal traffic conditions of 129,923 vehicles. The increase indicates growing public movement as people began travelling out of Jakarta ahead of the Eid holiday.
Hendri urged road users planning to travel on the MBZ Elevated Road section to manage their departure times carefully in order to avoid potential traffic congestion.
“We urge road users to manage their travel times wisely and prepare their journeys well so that traffic congestion does not occur at certain times, allowing journeys to proceed more smoothly and comfortably,” Hendri said.
To support the smooth and safe travel experience, PT JCC continued to provide advisories to road users on the MBZ Elevated Road section.
Road users are encouraged to ensure that both driver and vehicle are in optimal condition, maintain adequate electrical power and fuel supply, and anticipate potential weather changes, particularly rain that could affect visibility and road surface conditions.
