4 Stocks on BEI's Radar, Price Increases Deemed Unwarranted
JAKARTA - PT Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) has highlighted a surge in prices of four stocks deemed unjustified. The four issuers have been under Unusual Market Activity (UMA) monitoring since Tuesday (28/4/2026). The stocks on the list include PT Bintang Samudera Mandiri Lines Tbk (BSML), PT Pacific Strategic Financial Tbk (APIC), PT Golden Eagle Energy Tbk (SMMT), and PT Megalestari Epack Sentosaraya Tbk (EPAC). BEI data shows sharp increases over the past month. BSML rose 24.4%. APIC surged 63%. SMMT soared 120.49%. EPAC strengthened 92.5%. The price movements of the four stocks appear uneven. Some have begun to correct after the rally. Others remain in high territory at the start of Tuesday morning’s trading. APIC shares are at Rp 1,830, down 1.08%. The price once touched Rp 1,910 before reversing to a low of Rp 1,825. SMMT shares are still up 11.15% to Rp 2,990. The price reached Rp 3,210, then pulled back and moved consolidatively around Rp 3,000. EPAC shares are tending flat at 77. The movement is relatively stagnant despite ongoing monitoring. BEI assesses the movements of these stocks as outside the norm. The UMA status is applied as a protective measure for investors amid high volatility. “The announcement of Unusual Market Activity (UMA) does not necessarily indicate a violation of capital market regulations,” BEI stated. The UMA status does not prohibit transactions. Investors can still trade, but they should be more cautious of risks. BEI advises investors to heed issuer clarifications. Investors should also examine performance and information disclosures. Potential corporate actions not yet approved by the AGM should also be noted. This step aims to curb risks amid price movements that do not reflect fundamental conditions.
