4 Facts Behind Febrie Adriansyah's Resignation as Jampidsus

The Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) at the Attorney General’s Office, Febrie Adriansyah, has resigned. His resignation from the post was accepted by Attorney General ST Burhanuddin.

Head of the Attorney General’s Legal Information Centre, Anang Supriatna, explained the reason behind Febrie Adriansyah’s resignation. He stated the decision was a stance taken by Febrie to ensure the law enforcement process continues without creating negative perceptions among the public.

“The decision is a form of commitment to maintaining the integrity, objectivity, and neutrality of the law enforcement process, in line with an ongoing legal process being conducted by investigators of the Indonesian National Police,” Anang said.

Anang stated that Febrie’s resignation would not affect the execution of duties or the handling of various cases currently managed by Jampidsus. “The Attorney General’s Office respects the decision and ensures that all duties, functions, and case handling within the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes can proceed normally and in accordance with applicable mechanisms,” he said.

Anang emphasised that the Attorney General’s Office respects the decision and ensures the organisational machinery within the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes continues to function properly. The office called on the public to give space for the ongoing legal process and not to disregard the principle of the presumption of innocence.

Before officially resigning on Saturday, 11 July 2026, on Friday afternoon, 10 July 2026, Febrie had denied various issues concerning him, including rumours that he would step down as Jampidsus. During a press conference held at the Attorney General’s Office, Febrie was still receiving direct instructions from the prosecution leadership to accelerate the resolution of several major cases.
