4 Documents to Prepare Now for 2026 Civil Service School Registration
The National Civil Service Agency (BKN) has indicated that the selection process for civil service schools in 2026 will open soon, although an official schedule has yet to be released. In an Instagram post on 19 July 2026, the agency announced the imminent opening and listed nine participating institutions. ‘Get ready to realise your dreams through this year’s Civil Service School Selection? Coming soon,’ BKN stated.
In a subsequent update on 29 July 2026, BKN provided details on preparations prospective students should undertake before registration officially opens. A key focus is ensuring all required documents are ready. The four essential documents for the 2026 civil service school registration are: a scanned copy of the National Identity Card (KTP), Child Identity Card (KIA), or Family Card (KK); a scanned copy of the birth certificate; a scanned copy of the senior high school diploma or equivalent, or a Certificate of Graduation (SKL) if the diploma is not yet available; and a scanned copy of academic transcripts.
Applicants are reminded to check that their academic grades meet the specific requirements of their chosen institution, as each school may have additional document requirements. For example, last year the State College of Accountancy (PKN STAN) required applicants from the Papua Affirmative Education pathway to submit a signed letter from their headmaster. Complete document requirements will be published on each institution’s website once registration opens.
Registration for civil service schools is conducted via the BKN SSCASN portal. To create an account, applicants need their 16-digit National Identity Number (NIK) and Family Card number. The process involves visiting the SSCASN website, clicking ‘Buat Akun’, and completing identity verification, data entry, and password creation steps.
The nine civil service schools opening this year are: PKN STAN under the Ministry of Finance; the Institute of Public Administration (IPDN) under the Ministry of Home Affairs; transport schools under the Ministry of Transportation; the Indonesian Immigration and Corrections Polytechnic (Poltekimipas); the Indonesian Polytechnic of Correctional Services (Poltekpin) under the Ministry of Law; the Statistics Polytechnic (STIS) under the Central Statistics Agency; the State Intelligence College (STIN) under the State Intelligence Agency; the State Cyber and Crypto Polytechnic (Poltek SSN) under the National Cyber and Crypto Agency; and the College of Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics (STMKG) under the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency.
