The TNI Military Police Centre (Puspom) has yet to examine KontraS Deputy Coordinator Andrie Yunus regarding the acid attack case, despite dispatching a letter to the Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK). TNI’s Head of Information Centre (Kapuspen), Major General Aulia Dwi Nasrullah, stated that the examination could not proceed due to health reasons. “We have sent a letter to the LPSK requesting a statement from the witness-victim. The response is still pending due to health status,” Aulia said at the Parliamentary Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, on Thursday (16/4). As of now, Aulia confirmed that there are four suspects in the acid attack on Andrie, all from the Strategic Intelligence Agency (BAIS) TNI’s Headquarters Detachment, originating from the Navy and Air Force. They include NDP, a captain; SL and BHW, both first lieutenants (lettu); and ES, a second sergeant (serda). “Four individuals, still four as I have previously explained,” he said. Aulia explained that the motive behind the perpetrators’ actions was personal vendetta. Although the faces of the four suspects have been shown, the trial will be open to the public on 29 April, allowing the media and society to observe. “I think once the motive is explained—that it is personal—we will see it in the open trial, which everyone can watch, and it will be detailed in court,” he stated. Head of the Military Court (Kadilmil) II-08 Jakarta, Colonel Chk Fredy Ferdian Isnartanto, confirmed that all case files have been received for further review before the trial commences. “We will hold the first hearing on Wednesday, 29 April 2025. That is the agenda for reading the indictment,” Fredy said.
