4 Admission Pathways for NTB 2026 SMA/SMK Students: Check Requirements and Registration Methods
Prospective new students for the SMA/SMK level are currently awaiting the opening of the 2026 Student Admission System (SPMB) entry routes. This year, applicants have the opportunity to register through four available pathways.
According to the official SPMB West Nusa Tenggara Province website, the four pathways are: the domicile pathway, the achievement pathway, the affirmation pathway, and the transfer or mutation pathway. Each pathway carries different requirements, necessary documents, and implementation schedules. It is crucial for prospective students to pay close attention to these details to ensure their chances of entering their preferred school are maintained.
Domicile Pathway
The domicile admission pathway is intended for prospective students residing within the designated admission area. The committee utilises a regionalisation and school radius approach to determine these areas. Regionalisation is based on residential addresses that match data in Junior High School (SMP/MTs) records and Family Cards (KK).
Prospective students must have resided in their current domicile for at least one year, as verified by local village or sub-district authorities. The registration procedure for the domicile pathway is as follows:
Complete account registration on the official website spmb.ntbprov.go.id and select the domicile pathway.
Input the National Student Identification Number (NISN) and date of birth as the default password.
Upload a personal photo wearing the SMP/MTs school uniform with a red background.
Determine the home location coordinates based on the Family Card address using the application’s map feature.
Input parent names as per the diploma, upload the diploma or graduation certificate, and list the previous school name.
Upload the original Family Card (KK) and specify the relationship status within the family.
Note that selection for certain high schools (such as SMAN 1 Mataram, SMAN 1 Gerung, etc.) will consider the applicant’s original school.
Input report card grades from semesters 1 to 5, accompanied by the respective documents.
Print and sign a drug-free statement letter obtained from the SPMB website and upload it via the application.
Select one school within the domicile area and print the online registration proof.
Conduct document verification at the target school by bringing the report book, diploma/SKL, Family Card, and the drug-free statement.
Achievement Pathway
The achievement pathway is based on academic and non-academic accomplishments. Academic achievement is assessed via report card grades and the Academic Ability Test (TKA). Non-academic achievement includes accomplishments in sports, arts, or religion, evidenced by certificates or awards, including roles such as Student Council (OSIS) president or scout leader.
Requirements for the achievement pathway include:
Report card grades for semesters 1 through 5 in Indonesian, Mathematics, English, and Science, with a minimum total score of 1,700 and a minimum of 75 in each subject.
Possession of certificates or awards from official competitions at the regency/city, provincial, national, or international levels. These must be organised by official government bodies or recognised organisations. Awards in sports, arts, science, or research must be verified, and national-level achievements must be curated by the National Achievement Centre (PUSPRESNAS) of the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education.
