4.6 Magnitude Earthquake Shakes Sukabumi

According to the BMKG, the earthquake occurred on Sunday (17/05/2026) at 10:15 PM Western Indonesian Time. The epicentre was located southeast of Sukabumi Regency.

“Location: 7.53 degrees south latitude, 106.69 degrees east longitude, 62 kilometres southeast of Sukabumi Regency, West Java,” the BMKG stated.

The earthquake’s hypocenter was at a depth of 25 kilometres. The BMKG said that the data may change as more information becomes available.
