3D X-ray Technology Aids More Accurate Diagnosis of Dental and Jaw Issues
The use of three-dimensional (3D) imaging technology is increasingly expanding within dental healthcare services. This technology allows dentists to view the structure of teeth, jawbones, and surrounding tissues in greater detail, thereby helping to improve diagnostic accuracy and treatment planning.
One technology that is now widely being utilised is Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT), or 3D X-ray. Unlike conventional radiological examinations that produce two-dimensional images, CBCT is capable of displaying high-resolution 3D visualisations, providing a more comprehensive overview of a patient’s oral condition. This technology is considered beneficial for various dental needs, ranging from dental implants and wisdom tooth surgery to root canal treatments and the analysis of complex jaw structures.

Examination results can be obtained in less than 10 minutes, assisting doctors in making faster clinical decisions.
The founder of OMDC Dental, Dr Oktri Manessa, stated that 3D radiology technology provides a more holistic view of a patient’s dental and jaw condition, supporting a more accurate diagnostic process. “3D radiology technology allows us to see the condition of teeth and jaws in more detail compared to conventional examinations.
