393 Hajj Pilgrims from Jakarta's First Batch Begin Entering the Pondok Gede Hajj Dormitory
Jakarta — A total of 393 Hajj pilgrims from the first batch of Jakarta’s embarkation point began entering the Pondok Gede Hajj Dormitory in East Jakarta since Tuesday morning (21/4/2026). Based on observations, the pilgrims who arrived headed directly to the multipurpose building to undergo health examinations. In addition, they carried out registration for Nusuk activation, which is the official digital and physical identity from the Saudi Arabian government. Staff were also seen collecting the pilgrims’ suitcases to be loaded onto their respective buses. Several staff members assisted elderly pilgrims during the health checks by providing priority service. “They will enter the dormitory for now. Later, after rest time, there will be time for congregational prayers and obligatory prayers. During the obligatory prayers, there will be reaffirmation regarding the manasik, including health socialisation and preparation for the season there,” said Ali at the Pondok Gede Hajj Dormitory on Tuesday. Ali explained that the pilgrims are scheduled to depart for Soekarno-Hatta Airport around 7:30 PM from the Pondok Gede Hajj Dormitory.
