Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk revealed that 39,043 of its borrowers took part in the subsidised mortgage (KPR subsidi) mass ceremony organised centrally by the government in Batang Regency, Central Java, both in person and online, from various regions across Indonesia.

The bank noted that this figure makes BTN the largest contributor among the distributing banks in the mass subsidised mortgage ceremony led by President Prabowo Subianto.

“The participation of 39,043 BTN borrowers demonstrates the high demand for decent and affordable housing. We will continue to accelerate our services and maintain the quality of disbursement so that more Indonesian families can own their first home,” said BTN President Director Nixon L.P. Napitupulu in a statement received in Jakarta on Thursday.

Nixon said BTN’s achievement in the mass ceremony would not have been possible without the support of Danantara Indonesia, which has encouraged a more integrated collaboration within the national housing ecosystem.

According to Nixon, the mass ceremony demonstrates that ecosystem collaboration can be translated into tangible benefits for the public.

In this regard, BTN plays a role in financing and services, whilst the synergy driven by Danantara helps connect policy, financing, housing supply, and public needs.

Based on data from the Public Housing Savings Management Agency (BP Tapera), this mass ceremony involved 62,710 borrowers of the FLPP (Housing Financing Liquidity Facility) Sejahtera mortgage scheme, comprising 200 borrowers attending in person and 62,510 participating online. The ceremony was held simultaneously at no fewer than 130 locations across 372 regencies and cities in 36 provinces.
