37 complaints resolved

JAKARTA (JP): Thirty-seven out of the 59 complaints filed with
City Council this year were resolved, City Council chairman MH
Ritonga said.

The resolved cases included land disputes, demolition and
street vendors, Ritonga told a year-end press conference over the
weekend.

He said the remaining 22 cases could not be resolved because
of a lack of legal bases and concrete data or evidence, Antara
reported.

Ritonga noted with satisfaction that the public's faith in the
City Council had not diminished. "The number of people coming to
us this year was larger than last year. This means they still
trust the council to air their complaints." (bas)
