PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia (InJourney Airports), the primary operator of 37 airports across Indonesia, has confirmed operational readiness and service facilities to handle the 2026 Eid al-Fitr (1447 Hijriah) homecoming travel surge.

Achmad Syahir, Deputy Director General of InJourney Airports, stated at a press conference in Tangerang on Wednesday that all 37 airports are prepared to serve passengers during this travel period.

“Of the total 37 airports, 30 are classified as international facilities under the latest Transport Ministry regulations which became effective on 8 August 2025. So from Aceh to Papua, all airports managed by InJourney Airport are ready to serve,” he explained.

As part of preparations for the Eid travel period, the company has mobilised personnel and service facilities, including vehicle services to convey passengers from the airport parking to terminals.

For the 2026 Eid homecoming period, approximately 498,000 passengers are projected with roughly 3,357 flight movements. The peak travel period is expected around 15 March, with the return journey peak on 28 March. The government has designated several days as “work from anywhere” periods to facilitate travel.

Soekarno-Hatta (CGK) and I Gusti Ngurah Rai (DPS) airports are expected to be the busiest airports during this homecoming travel period.
