36 Supreme Court Judge Candidates and Six Ad Hoc Judges Pass Quality Selection

The Judicial Commission has approved 36 Supreme Court judge candidates, four ad hoc human rights judges and two ad hoc corruption case judges during a quality selection process held at the KY auditorium in Jakarta on Tuesday, 26 May 2026. The decision followed a plenary meeting that morning.

KY member and Head of Judges Recruitment, Andi Muhammad Asrun, stated the quality selection measures candidates’ academic capacity and expertise against established competency standards. The process, held on 5-6 May 2026, involved 137 Supreme Court judge candidates and 76 ad hoc judges, including objective tests, written works, case resolution, ethics studies, and professional work assessments for Supreme Court judge candidates.

KY spokesperson Anita Kadir said results are accessible via the KY website (www.komisiyudisial.go.id) from Tuesday. Successful candidates must attend health and personality tests from 3-5 June 2026; failure to attend will result in disqualification. She added that the quality selection results are final and non-appealable.
