36 Candidates Pass Supreme Court Justice Selection, Including Former KPK Oversight Board Member
The Judicial Commission (KY) has announced 36 candidates who passed the quality selection for Supreme Court justices, including former KPK Oversight Board member Albertina Ho, who currently serves as Chairman of PT Samarinda.
“The quality selection involved 137 Supreme Court Justice candidates and 76 ad hoc judges for the Supreme Court in 2026, held on 5 to 6 May 2026. Tests included objective assessments, written works, legal case resolution, ethics code and guidelines (KEPPH) studies, and professional work evaluations,” said KY member and Head of Judicial Recruitment Andi Muhammad Asrun, as cited from the KY website on Friday, 29 May 2026.
The successful candidates are listed in Announcement No. 6/PENG/PIM/RH.01.03/05/2026 on the Quality Selection Results for Supreme Court Justice Candidates in 2026, Announcement No. 7/PENG/PIM/RH.01.03/05/2026 on the Quality Selection Results for Ad Hoc Human Rights Judges at the Supreme Court in 2026, and Announcement No. 8/PENG/PIM/RH.04.03/05/2026 on the Quality Selection Results for Ad Hoc Corruption Judges at the Supreme Court in 2026. The successful candidates will proceed to health and personality assessments from 3 to 5 June 2026.
Besides Albertina Ho, the list includes High Court Judge of PT Banjarmasin and former South Jakarta District Court judge Alimin Ribut Sujono, who is publicly known for issuing two death sentences. Both individuals are candidates for the Criminal Chamber of the Supreme Court.
In the Civil Chamber, Sobandi, Head of the Supreme Court Administrative Bureau, is among the successful candidates.
