352 inmates get remission

BANJARMASIN, S. Kalimantan: Some 352 inmates in South
Kalimantan will have their sentences reduced by President
Soeharto on Independence Day on Aug. 17, Antara reported.

For 36 inmates, this means freedom, the head of the province's
Ministry of Justice office, M. Sadeli, said.

There are 10 penitentiaries throughout the province.

Remissions are granted for good behavior to all inmates
throughout Indonesia every year on Independence Day. (09)
