352,102 people visit IKN during Eid al-Fitr holiday
During the visit period, the State Palace area and the IKN National Mosque became the most crowded spots for visitors in the KIPP Nusantara, Nusantara (ANTARA) - A total of 352,102 people visited the Nusantara Capital City (IKN) during the Eid al-Fitr holiday, particularly from 18–29 March 2026, with a total of 80,105 vehicles entering, ranging from two-wheeled vehicles, four-wheeled vehicles, to buses.
The IKN Authority ensured that public visit services ran optimally amid the increasing enthusiasm of the public in enjoying the holiday in the Nusantara Core Government Centre (KIPP).
“During the visit period, the State Palace area and the IKN National Mosque became the most crowded areas for visitors in KIPP Nusantara,” said Special Staff to the Head of the IKN Authority for Public Communications and also the IKN Authority Spokesperson, Troy Pantouw, in Nusantara on Tuesday.
Other areas that also received appreciation from visits include the Glass Bridge in the Glamping area, the Sepaku Semoi Dam, and Kusuma Bangsa Park.
“The Ceremonial Plaza and Bhinneka Plaza areas became centres of public activity supported by various culinary facilities, public interaction spaces, as well as various developing entertainment and social activities,” he said.
Thousands of residents also visited the Massa Centre as the Nusantara information hub, presenting various educational facilities such as a mini theatre, development mock-up, IKN Mini Control Centre, and interactive facilities that provide a comprehensive overview of the area’s development.
From these visits, the public not only saw the development results in this new capital but also utilised the various facilities and public spaces available in the Nusantara area.
The IKN Authority further expressed appreciation to all parties involved in public visit services, including elements of the TNI, Police, local apparatus such as from Sepaku, Penajam Paser Utara, the Ministry of Public Works and others who escorted services, facilities, and security in the KIPP Nusantara area.
Appreciation was also given to all IKN Authority personnel who have been on duty, health workers from various health facilities in the Nusantara area, field officers, and Nusantara tour guides who provided services to visitors.
