35,000 Vehicles Pass Through Cipali Toll Road Towards Jakarta Since Morning

JAKARTA - Traffic flow of vehicles heading to Jakarta on the Cikopo–Palimanan (Cipali) toll road section on H+3 of Eid al-Fitr 2026 has been observed to continuously increase since morning. Based on data from the period of 00.00 to 09.00 WIB, around 35,000 vehicles have passed through the former Cikopo Toll Gate towards Jakarta, which is 2 percent lower than the same period on the previous day. Although vehicle volume is increasing, the implementation of one-way traffic engineering and the open-close system for rest areas is deemed capable of keeping traffic flow smooth and controlled. “If you need to change lanes, please exit through the nearest toll gate and continue your journey by re-entering the desired lane without incurring additional fees,” said Ardam Rafif Trisilo, Head of Sustainability Management & Corporate Communications Department of Astra Tol Cipali, in an official statement on Wednesday (25/3/2026). In addition, road users are reminded not to stop on the road shoulder except in emergency situations. If a rest area is observed to be full, drivers are asked not to stop on the shoulder or force themselves to queue on the main lane before entering the rest area, as this could trigger a slowdown in traffic flow. Astra Tol Cipali assures that the total toll fee accumulation remains the same, based on the kilometres travelled, even if road users exit and re-enter the toll gate for resting.
