PERTAMINA is preparing 345 tanker vessels for the distribution of Bahan Bakar Minyak (BBM) to all parts of Indonesia through the Lebaran holiday period. Arif Yunianto, Director of Logistics Fleet at PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, said ship operations span from western to eastern Indonesia.

“This fleet forms the backbone of the distribution of BBM, LPG, crude oil, and other energy products so that supplies remain safe and on time,” he said in a written statement on Thursday, 5 March 2026.

From the total fleet, 266 ships service BBM and avtur, 27 ships transport crude oil, 45 units service LPG distribution, and 7 units support the transport of petrochemicals and also act as floating storage.

All fleets distribute various strategic products such as Pertalite, Pertamax, Pertadex, B40, Avtur, LPG, crude oil, and petrochemical products to ensure the needs of transport, aviation, industry, and households are met during the period of increased energy consumption.

Pertamina Patra Niaga also prepares operational risk mitigation, including anticipating weather dynamics, rerouting shipping routes if necessary, and optimising unloading/loading terminals to accelerate additional supply in high-demand areas.

Arif said the readiness is part of the commitment of the Downstream Subholding to maintaining national energy security. Management ensures all fleets, monitoring systems, and operational support operate optimally during the Ramadan Task Force and Idulfitri period.

“With solid coordination and continuous oversight, we want to ensure the public can observe Ramadan and Idulfitri with calm,” he said.
