34 Companies Receive AEO Recognition as Customs Drives Competitive Trade
Indonesia’s Customs and Excise office continues to strengthen partnerships with the business community and promote a secure, compliant, efficient, and competitive international trade ecosystem through the development of the Indonesian Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) community. This step was realised through the handover of AEO certificates to 34 companies that completed the certification process between September 2025 and May 2026, at the Customs Head Office on Wednesday (18/6/2026). The certificate handover serves as a form of appreciation for companies that have met the criteria and requirements as trusted economic operators in the international trade supply chain.
AEO status is granted to companies demonstrating a commitment to compliance, security, and the implementation of good supply chain governance. The 34 companies receiving AEO certificates come from various sectors, including manufacturing, trading, and logistics services. These companies include PT Modena Indonesia, PT Neon Energi Nusantara, PT Kalbe Farma Tbk., PT Kona Bay Indonesia, PT Aisin Indonesia, PT DHL Global Forwarding Indonesia, PT Kamigumi Indonesia, PT Autocomp Systems Indonesia, PT Schutz Container Systems Indonesia, PT Agung Raya, PT Hanjaya Mandala Sampoerna Tbk., PT Philip Morris Indonesia, PT Enseval Medika Prima, PT Mayora Indah Tbk., PT Miura Indonesia, PT JTEKT Indonesia, PT Hli Green Power, PT Indopoly Swakarsa Industry Tbk., PT LG Electronics Service Indonesia, PT Toyota Boshoku Device Indonesia, PT DSV Transport Indonesia, PT Bimaruna Jaya, PT Puninar Jaya, PT Coca Cola Bottling Indonesia, PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, PT DSI Underground, PT Nippon Steel Chemical and Material Indonesia, PT Bright Mobile Telecommunication, PT Flextronics Technology Indonesia, PT Cipta Sinergi Bisnis, PT Triger Nusa Logistindo, PT Kary Indomas Elok, PT Bridgestone Tire Indonesia, and PT LMCD.
With this addition, the total number of companies that have obtained AEO recognition as of May 2026 reaches 210 companies. This figure comprises 183 companies classified as exporter and importer economic operators, and 27 companies as economic operators in other logistics service fields, such as warehousing, Customs Brokerage Service Providers (PPJK), forwarders, Temporary Storage Facilities (TPS), and others.
Head of the Customs Public Relations and Education Sub-directorate, Budi Prasetiyo, stated that the AEO programme is a form of strategic partnership between Customs and the business community to build a high-quality international trade supply chain. He explained that AEO is a symbol of a trusted company, demonstrating its commitment to meeting standards of compliance, security, and good supply chain governance. “With the increasing number of companies obtaining AEO recognition, it is hoped that the competitiveness of Indonesian companies in international trade will continue to rise,” Budi said.
In addition to the certificate handover, Customs also presented awards to the best AEO company and the best AEO manager, namely PT Seiwa Indonesia as The Best Exporter Importer AEO 2026, PT Lintas Niaga Jaya as The Best AEO Logistics Service Provider 2026, and Hendra from PT CKB as The Best AEO Manager 2026. “We give these awards to encourage AEO companies to continue maintaining and improving the fulfilment of AEO conditions and requirements, carry out their responsibilities as AEO companies, and uphold the AEO partnership culture with Customs,” Budi explained.
Through the development of the Indonesian AEO company community, Customs hopes that more business actors will understand the benefits of implementing AEO standards. This recognition provides added value for companies through increased credibility, trust from trading partners, and strengthened competitiveness in the global trade network. Budi stated that this certificate handover is a concrete step towards realising AEO companies that are highly committed to sustainably maintaining the quality of requirement fulfilment. “Through collaboration between the government and the business community, Indonesia’s trade ecosystem is expected to become increasingly secure, trusted, and competitive at the international level,” he said.
