Tangerang - Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (Soetta) General Manager Heru Karyadi stated that 34,853 Hajj pilgrims will return home from 1 to 30 June 2026 via Indonesia’s largest airport.
‘The Hajj return phase begins on 1 June 2026 through Terminal 2F, with the first group arriving from Jeddah,’ Heru said in Tangerang on Sunday.
He added that of the total 34,853 pilgrims, the initial phase starts with two debarkation groups — Pondok Gede and Bekasi — totaling 836 people. This includes 391 pilgrims from Pondok Gede Debarkation and 445 from Bekasi Debarkation, operated by Garuda Indonesia and Saudia Airlines.
The total comprises 8,701 Hajj pilgrims from Pondok Gede Debarkation, 12,092 from Bekasi Debarkation, 9,096 from Banten Debarkation, and 4,964 from Lampung.
Nevertheless, the airport authority will ensure full preparedness to welcome and serve the returning Hajj pilgrims, with facilities, personnel, and operational support on standby to ensure a safe, smooth, and orderly process until the end of the Hajj operations.
‘We have optimally prepared all service aspects, including facility readiness, arrival flow management, operational personnel support, and coordination with all stakeholders, to ensure the pilgrims’ return process is safe, smooth, and orderly,’ he said.
