330 Police Officers Deployed to Secure Running Event in Sudirman-Gatot Subroto
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - A total of 330 traffic police personnel will be deployed to secure the Digiland International Run 2026 event that crosses the Sudirman-Gatot Subroto area in Jakarta on Sunday (17 May 2026) morning.
Head of the Administration Subdivision for Operational Affairs of the Traffic Directorate of the Metro Jaya Regional Police, AKP Didit Sugama, said that several road sections would be closed during the event.
These include Jalan Gerbang Pemuda, Jalan Gatot Subroto, Jalan Jenderal Sudirman to the CSW area.
According to him, traffic management and diversions will be implemented during the event. After the route has been traversed, the roads will gradually reopen.
βFor the traffic diversion related to this event, there are several routes that we will divert. Once the event is over on those routes, they will of course return to normal,β he said.
A number of traffic diversion schemes have been prepared, including:
Didit said that some road sections would begin to reopen gradually, such as Jalan Asia Afrika towards Palmerah at 06:30 and Jalan Gatot Subroto at 08:00. Meanwhile, Jalan Jenderal Sudirman will be adjusted according to the Car Free Day schedule.
To support supervision, the Traffic Directorate of the Metro Jaya Regional Police has also prepared a Command Center post around the route and will disseminate information on traffic management through the official @tmcpoldametrojaya account.
