322 Tax Delinquent Accounts in East and North Kalimantan Blocked, Value Reaches Rp 710 Billion
The Regional Office of the Directorate General of Taxation for East and North Kalimantan has blocked hundreds of tax delinquent accounts with total arrears exceeding Rp 710 billion. Head of the Kaltimtara DJP Regional Office, Paryan, stated that the action was taken to serve as a deterrent to uncooperative taxpayers. “This blocking is carried out to provide a deterrent effect to uncooperative taxpayers,” said Paryan in Samarinda on Tuesday (12/5/2026). However, the delinquents are said to show no good faith in settling their obligations. Paryan explained that the collection actions were conducted simultaneously across the DJP Kaltimtara operational area. “All requests for account blocking have been officially submitted to 18 banking financial institutions on 29 April 2026,” he clarified. The blocking targeted 322 accounts comprising 142 taxpayers and 180 tax withholders. They are deemed to have continuously neglected their tax obligations. The total value of arrears forming the basis for the action amounts to Rp 710,040,556,092. “However, the official warnings have yielded no results at all because the tax withholders continue to ignore their obligations,” Paryan revealed.
