321,000 Vehicles Leave Jabotabek During Extended Eid al-Adha Holiday 1447 H
Jasa Marga President Director Rivan A. Purwantono stated that traffic volume exiting Jabotabek from H-1 to the holiday period of Eid al-Adha 1447 H, or Tuesday-Wednesday (26-27 May 2026), reached 321,039 vehicles.
This figure is the cumulative traffic from four main toll gates (GT): Cikampek North (towards Trans-Java), Kalihurip North (towards Bandung), Cikupa (towards Merak), and Ciawi (towards Puncak).
“This represents a 19.62% increase compared to normal traffic (268,392 vehicles),” Rivan said in a statement on Thursday, 28 May 2026.
For the distribution of traffic exiting Jabotabek towards three directions, the majority was 156,206 vehicles (48.7%) heading east (Trans-Java and Bandung), 86,786 (27.0%) west (Merak), and 78,047 (24.3%) south (Puncak).
Eastbound (Trans-Java and Bandung): Traffic exiting Jabotabek towards Trans-Java via Cikampek North Toll Gate on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road totaled 81,030 vehicles, a 52.67% increase from normal. Traffic towards Bandung via Kalihurip North Toll Gate on the Cipularang Toll Road reached 75,176 vehicles, up 35.26% from normal. Combined, eastbound traffic through both toll gates rose 43.76% from normal at 156,206 vehicles.
Westbound (Merak): Traffic exiting towards Merak via Cikupa Toll Gate on the Tangerang-Merak Toll Road amounted to 86,786 vehicles, an 8.63% decrease from normal.
Southbound (Puncak): Vehicles exiting towards Puncak via Ciawi Toll Gate on the Jagorawi Toll Road totalled 78,047, a 20.53% increase from normal.
Rivan added that on the day of Eid al-Adha 1447 H, Wednesday 27 May 2026, traffic exiting Jabotabek totalled 124,719 vehicles. Although this was 8.51% lower than normal, Jasa Marga noted a 6.85% rise in eastbound traffic (Trans-Java and Bandung) and a 5.90% increase southbound (Puncak) compared to normal levels.
