3.2 kg of heroin seized

JAKARTA (JP): Police arrested five people yesterday and
confiscated 3.2 kilograms of heroin and Rp 20 million in cash in
West Jakarta.

Four men and one woman were arrested at Graha Medika private
hospital in Kebon Jeruk where they were about to conduct a
transaction in the hospital yesterday afternoon, police said.

Hospital sources said one of the suspects, identified as RS,
had been treated there and had just been released. His ailment
was not clear. The sources said police had acted on hospital
staff reports that the patient and his visitors looked
suspicious.

The patient was about to leave the building and meet his
friends when the police arrested him. Police say another man,
believed to be the mastermind behind the planned drug deal, is
being hunted. (cst)
